Pet Oil portrait options. You can choose between a full color (above) or a one color (below) pet painting. One color portraits are painted on canvas too, using a single oil color, burnt umber (dark brown) being the favorite selection of most clients. It can also be done in black or sanguine (brick like color). They have a drawing like appearance but with a large range of subtle tones and higher contrast that evoke other times. They cost less than full colored ones but are equally beautiful and, since they are oil paint on canvas, they can be framed without a glass.

Other than dogs also you can get double and triple portraits of your pets.
The Artistic Process
From Photo to Painting.
Creating a custom portrait begins with a photograph. You can send me your favorite picture of the pet, or a photo of you and your pet together. Besides the painting process itself, the source photograph is perhaps the most important element that I use. Dog paintings photos should have good definition and detail, good color and good lighting. Natural lighting is the best, and photos taken on a cloudy day are far better than those taken on a sunny day, especially for dark pets. Inside, photographs of your pet next to a window or a door are usually good. Avoid using a flash. Try to photograph your pet at eye level and avoid getting too close, it'll make the nose or other features large and distorted.
